Eastern Alloy, Inc. Builds Record-Breaking Steel Container

Donora, Pennsylvania . . . Eastern Alloy, Inc., a leader in turbomachinery canisters / containers, rolled out a record-breaking steel container, the biggest container EA has built yet. The 32 foot long, 120" diameter, 40,000 lbs. steel container was ordered by EA client Sulzer - a global industry leader of pumps and related equipment for a variety of industries including oil and gas, power, water, and general industry.

EA canisters / containers, which are available to any turbochainery manufacturer or end-user worldwide, are ruggledly constructed to withstand rough handling during shipping and/or chemical attack when stored for extended periods of time, such as for standby equipment. The steel canisters / containers offer maximum protection for expensive machinery components that could become corroded, pitted, warped, and otherwise damaged because of inferior containers.

"The Sulzer container's record-breaking statistics is something that only EA can build, and we are proud to add it to our incredible product features for future clients," said Rich Wagner.

Subject: Eastern Alloy, Inc. Expands Marketing Effort for Turbomachinery Canisters / Containers

Donora, Pennsylvania . . . Eastern Alloy, Inc., specialists in turbomachinery canisters / containers, announces an expansion of its marketing efforts as a worldwide supplier of metal shipping and storage canisters / containers for compressor and turbine rotors and impellers. Eastern Alloy, headquartered in Donora, Pennsylvania, USA, has been pursuing greater sales penetration into domestic and international turbomachinery markets with what company management feels are superior state-of-the-art canisters / containers for protection of expensive machinery components.

The canisters / containers, which are available to any turbomachinery manufacturer or end-user worldwide, are ruggedly constructed to withstand rough handling during shipping and/or chemical attack when stored for extended periods of time, such as for standby equipment. The steel canisters / containers offer maximum protection for expensive machinery components that could become corroded, pitted, warped, and otherwise damaged because of inferior containers.

"Our canister / container frames are fabricated from structural steel, and the shells are 0.25in (6.35mm) thick. The canisters / containers are custom designed to the size and weight of individual rotors, and they can be stored in a vertical or horizontal position because the rotors are securely anchored within."

All Eastern Alloy canisters / containers have provisions for nitrogen purge, vents and drains for protection against corrosion and pitting. A 0.625in (15.88mm) diameter "O" ring insures a tight seal against leakage. Each canister / container is fitted with internal clamp cradles lined with urethane and rubber. External and internal surfaces are coated with a corrosion resistant polyurethane and epoxy, unless a special coating is requested.

Welders at Eastern Alloy are highly skilled and experienced, and are all certified to ASME Section IX and to AWS D1.1 structural steel welding code.

The fully-equipped shop is prepared to handle emergency requirements, as well as maintain an on-time delivery record to achieve scheduled deadline. 3 10-ton capacity overhead crane enables the firm to maintain a smooth flow of production materials and canister / container assembly lines.
